Decipher Bureau is looking for an experienced recruitment professional to help lead and grow our Melbourne business.

Since 2014, we've built one of Australia's most respected specialist recruitment businesses across cyber security, technology risk and secure technology transformation. We're now looking for someone who can help take our Victorian business through its next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine player-manager role.

You'll continue to be commercially active – developing clients, building relationships and managing your own recruitment portfolio – while also leading, coaching and developing our Melbourne team.

Working closely with our Directors and wider leadership team, you'll have the autonomy to help shape our Victorian business, identify new markets and clients, and build a high-performing team around you.

You'll be supported by an established specialist brand, long-standing client relationships, an extensive candidate and contractor network and a collaborative national team.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach and develop our Melbourne recruitment team
• Develop new business and grow existing client relationships
• Build and manage your own successful recruitment portfolio
• Engage with senior clients and develop long-term partnerships
• Support consultants with business development, recruitment delivery and desk strategy
• Identify opportunities to grow our presence across Victoria
• Help attract and hire experienced recruiters as the team expands
• Contribute to the broader direction and growth of Decipher Bureau

About You

We're looking for an experienced agency recruiter who still enjoys being in the market but is ready to have a broader impact.

You'll ideally bring:

• A successful agency recruitment background ideally in IT
• A strong track record in business development and billings
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing recruiters
• Strong client development and account management skills
• The ability to independently build and manage a successful recruitment portfolio
• Confidence engaging with senior executives and decision-makers
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in building a successful team
• A collaborative leadership style
