Setting the Scene
Our client is a global leader in cyber security, helping organisations secure their cloud environments, infrastructure and critical systems against an ever-evolving threat landscape. Due to expansion, they are now seeking a Cortex Cloud Consultant to join their Professional Services team and work across the ANZ market, partnering with enterprise and government customers to design, deploy and operationalise cloud security solutions. This is a highly customer-facing and hands-on consulting role, combining technical delivery with stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with cloud, DevOps and security teams to embed security into cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, helping customers improve their security posture while enabling them to confidently operate their environments.
The Role
You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout customer engagements, taking solutions from initial requirements and architecture through to deployment, integration and operational handover.
Key responsibilities: - Lead technical workshops to understand customer requirements, use cases and security objectives
- Design and develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and operational runbooks
- Deploy and engineer cloud security capabilities across AWS, Azure and GCP environments
- Implement CSPM and CWPP capabilities across complex cloud environments
- Integrate cloud security scanning and security guardrails into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
- Work with Kubernetes environments including EKS, AKS and GKE
- Support DevSecOps, GitOps and Shift-Left security initiatives
- Develop infrastructure using Terraform and automate security processes through Python or Bash
- Advise customers on cloud security architecture, networking, routing and IPSEC VPNs
- Translate security requirements and policies from legacy or competing platforms into cloud security solutions
- Provide knowledge transfer, documentation and operational handover to customer teams
- Work closely with project managers to manage technical delivery, timelines and customer expectations
- Act as a trusted advisor, balancing technical execution with broader business and security objectives
What you'll bring - Strong understanding of cloud security and experience securing enterprise cloud environments
- Experience securing containerised environments, particularly Kubernetes, EKS, AKS or GKE
- Strong experience in customer-facing Cyber Security consulting, professional services or technical advisory roles
- Hands-on cloud architecture experience across AWS, Azure or GCP
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, GitOps and Shift-Left security
- Advanced Terraform skills alongside scripting experience in Python or Bash
- Strong understanding of network security, routing and IPSEC VPNs
- Hands-on experience with Cortex Cloud and/or Prisma Cloud, particularly CSPM and CWPP
- Active NV1 (or higher) security clearance
* Candidates with highly transferable experience across competing cloud security platforms will also be considered, including Wiz, Lacework, Aqua Security, Datadog Cloud Security, Sysdig or CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security.
