Decipher Bureau are working with a client that’s on the lookout for a Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer with hands-on experience in
integrating security tools into environments.
If you love the technical side of security, especially around
implementation (like gateways, proxies, Netskope, CrowdStrike, etc.), and enjoy collaborating with different teams, this could be the role for you!
What sets this role apart? We’re not after the typical SOC Analysts focused on alert-handling. The client’s SOC monitoring is outsourced, so instead, they’re keen to find someone with real experience in
implementing security technologies into systems and environments, combined with strong change management practices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Security Tool Integration: You'll be leading the integration of key security products like CrowdStrike, Netskope, and similar tools into the company’s infrastructure.
- System Policy Writing: Develop system policies that align with the company’s broader security architecture.
- Change Management: Collaborate with teams to manage technical changes, including network and security updates.
- Security Consulting: Advise on security solutions for new projects, ensuring best practices are followed across the board.
- Reports To: Security Operations & Engineering Lead
Key Requirements:
- Security Tool Experience: Practical experience with products like CrowdStrike, Netskope, and proxy tools is essential. The focus is on engineering, not just analysis.
- Implementation Skills: A background in implementing and integrating security technologies is key.
- Cloud Experience: AWS or other cloud environments experience is highly valued.
- Self-Motivated Learners: Passionate about cyber security, keeping up with the latest tools, and possibly even building your own labs!
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-3 years of experience in a cyber security engineer/analyst role, or 3-5 years in broader technical positions.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies like Splunk, DLP tools, proxy tools, and EDR.
- Experience in AWS Cloud environments and working across Windows, Linux, and Unix systems.
- Someone with strong problem-solving skills, ready to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Perks:
- Parental Leave: 6 months paid leave for the primary carer and additional benefits for the secondary carer.
- Career Development: Tailored career programs and leadership initiatives.
- Generous Leave: 5 weeks of annual leave.
- Flexibility: Enjoy a progressive, inclusive, and flexible work environment.
