Cyber Vulnerability Solutions (hybrid)
- 01/05/2025
- ACT
- Permanent / Full Time
A defence prime in the ACT is looking for a Vulnerability researcher to join them on a hybrid basis in Canberra. You'll get to work on some niche technologies that are not accessible anywhere else, including some defence and intelligence hardware. This role would suit anyone who is curious and likes to break things whilst being able to come up with a solution to fix the problem. Due to the nature of the role you will need to have a minimum of an NV-1 clearance
The team you'll be embedded in is a large one of 200 working on this one project. They work in all sorts of different areas so you'll have to be able to deal with stakeholders both internal and external to let them know about the things you've found.
What you'll be bringing:
- Background in security, ideally in a fixer or breaker position, think DevSecOps, pentest, IR. This is not a junior role, so you do need to have a few years of experience in your area
- NV-1 is essential so you must be at least eligible to apply
- Ideally, you'd come from a defence background or public service
- Demonstrable security research success will take you far, such as a CVE or something to your name.
This role is going to start ASAP, with 2 other positions in the team, so you won't be starting by yourself. If you're interested in this one or you'd like to know about the other 2 roles which are security architect roles please email pcharles[@]decipherbureau.com
