This is a rare contract opportunity to play a critical role in a major network OT segmentation program for a large Australian organisation.
The Role This isn't a hands-on implementation role — it's about being the person who captures, structures, and governs the technical decisions that make the program stick long after go-live.
You'll work alongside engineering SMEs, translating complex network, security, and infrastructure discussions into clear, durable artefacts that support delivery, governance, and ongoing operations. Think requirements documentation, process and procedure docs, technical diagrams, decision logs, and acceptance criteria.
What You'll Be Doing - Extracting and documenting business and technical requirements from engineering design discussions and SMEs
- Drafting and maintaining process and procedure documentation (change management, patching, testing)
- Facilitating technical workshops and capturing outputs in a structured, reusable format
- Translating engineering statements into formal technical documentation and diagrams
- Identifying and mapping dependencies across platforms (AD, SCCM, NTP, monitoring, security tooling)
- Documenting security controls, acceptance criteria, and decision traceability to support assurance and audit
- Maintaining technical decision logs throughout implementation
What You'll Need - 7+ years in complex IT, network, cyber security, or operational technology environments
- Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and artefacts
- Experience in requirements engineering and process/procedure documentation
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT, networked systems, and security concepts
- Ability to engage credibly with engineering SMEs and accurately translate technical discussions
- Experience facilitating workshops and capturing outputs for governance and operational use
- Strong analytical skills with a governance and assurance mindset
