Consultant – Offensive Security Location: Australia (Remote) The Opportunity Our client is a fast-growing cyber security consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-quality offensive security services across Australia. They’re now looking for passionate and skilled Offensive Security Consultants to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in manual penetration testing who want to expand their consulting experience, work on diverse client engagements, and grow their career in a modern and flexible environment.
About the Role You’ll be responsible for delivering penetration testing engagements, managing projects, mentoring peers, and contributing to industry thought leadership. In addition to hands-on technical work, you’ll play a key role in ensuring client satisfaction, driving service improvements, and representing the consultancy at industry events.
Responsibilities - Lead and deliver penetration testing engagements autonomously, ensuring professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Manage and resolve delivery challenges while maintaining the best possible customer experience.
- Prepare professional security reports.
- Contribute to industry events through presentations, articles, and networking.
- Identify and drive internal process and service improvements.
Skills & Experience - Strong knowledge of penetration testing tools, techniques, and remediation practices.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience across web application, mobile, and infrastructure penetration testing (manual testing essential).
- 2–4 years overall experience in ICT, network, or security related roles.
- Current and relevant penetration testing certification (e.g., OSCP, CRT, GXPN, etc.).
- Experience writing professional reports that communicate complex problems and clear recommendations.
- Previous experience managing projects or short client engagements.
- Current Australian work rights (visa or citizenship).
