Principal Security Advisor for a 12-month engagement. This is a senior advisory role embedded across a portfolio of high-impact IT and OT initiatives, where you'll provide authoritative security advisory and architecture guidance, drive OT security programs, and engage broadly across the business to shape strong security outcomes.
The environment is highly project-driven, with a particular focus on Operational Technology (OT) security - including network mapping, dependency analysis, and network fortification across complex, layered environments. You'll operate as a trusted senior voice within the cyber security team, influencing both technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities - Lead security advisory and architecture guidance across a portfolio of IT and OT initiatives running in parallel.
- Drive OT security initiatives including network mapping, dependency analysis, and fortification work across layered environments.
- Design and implement network segmentation strategies across complex infrastructure environments - this is a core focus of the role.
- Embed security into business and technology projects through risk, governance, and security design input.
- Lead significant stakeholder engagement across technical teams, business units, and senior leadership.
- Mentor and provide guidance to the broader team of Security Advisors across the portfolio.
- Partner closely with the Cyber Security Manager to shape security strategy and delivery outcomes.
Experience Required - Senior experience as a Principal Security Advisor, Security Architect, or Lead Security Consultant.
- Network segmentation expertise is essential - hands-on experience designing and implementing segmentation across layered, complex environments.
- Proven ability to lead security advisory engagements across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and OT environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability - comfortable advising and influencing at all levels of an organisation.
Desirable Experience - OT security experience - particularly across SCADA, ICS, or industrial environments.
- Defence industry background strongly valued, with hands-on experience implementing network segmentation across classified or layered defence environments.
