As a Principal Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and effective cybersecurity controls, services, and architectural solutions that align with business requirements and enterprise strategy.
Responsibilities: - Improved Cybersecurity Posture: Accountable for delivering an enhanced cybersecurity posture by managing platform roadmaps, including the creation of comprehensive design and integration documentation.
- Security Control Patterns: Develop repeatable security control patterns for Solutions Architects and Designers to ensure consistency and effectiveness in cybersecurity implementations.
- Guidance and Policy: Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity control requirements and policy, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Skills Development: Oversee internal and vendor cybersecurity skills development programs to enhance the overall expertise within the organisation
- Vendor Assessment: Assess the cybersecurity maturities of third-party vendors based on independently issued reports, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Vulnerability Management: Facilitate cybersecurity vulnerability management, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of potential security threats.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage in effective stakeholder management and provide regular progress reports to keep key stakeholders informed.
Skills/Knowledge: - Solution and Security Architecture: Demonstrated strong experience in solution and security architecture disciplines.
- Education: Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Information Systems (preferred)
- Certifications: SABSA or TOGAF certifications are desirable
- Strategic Development: Proven experience in developing and delivering strategies and roadmaps.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience in managing and troubleshooting cybersecurity controls in accordance with NIST 800-53 standards.
- Digital Architecture: Familiarity with digital, mobile and web architectures leveraging APIs and microservices.
- Security Platforms: Proficient in the deployment or administration of F5 LTM/WAF or similar technologies, as well as Palo Alto or similar next-gen Firewalls.
- Endpoint Solutions: Experience with multiple security platforms and endpoint solutions.
