Let’s set the scene… This is a global technology vendor whose solutions sit behind some of the most sensitive, high-stakes identity decisions made every day. In Australia, they're embedded with the top end of town, and the business is growing.
That growth has created a genuine need. The Hiring Manager (your future boss – a great individual) is commercially focused and stretched across 7 key accounts. The consultants are sharp but need to stay focused on what they do best, advising customers and driving technical outcomes. What's missing is someone to own the coordination layer that holds everything together behind the scenes. The role that tracks delivery, manages stakeholders, keeps SoWs honest, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
That's this job. And it's equal parts Project Manager and Account/Delivery Manager.
To be clear about what this role is, and isn't. The technical heavy lifting belongs to the engineers and consultants. This role is about making sure that work happens when it needs to: coordinating with the engineering team, tracking delivery commitments, and keeping everything moving without getting lost in the weeds. The value you’ll bring is coordination, commercial awareness, and stakeholder confidence.
Engagements typically run on time-and-materials SoWs ranging from $100k to $500k, with some up to $1M. You'll be involved in writing and reviewing those SoWs, making sure they're commercially sound, clearly scoped, and that delivery stays aligned to what was agreed.
This isn't a role for someone who's spent their career in internal delivery or PMO functions. It's for someone who's been on the product vendor side, understands what it means to deploy a productised solution into a regulated enterprise environment, and knows how to hold a room of senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
To succeed here, you'll need to be comfortable with: - Owning delivery coordination across 7 concurrent accounts: SoWs, milestones, commitments, and everything in between
- Sitting comfortably between customers, consultants and an engineering team without losing the thread or doing the technical heavy lifting yourself
- Taking ownership of governance cycles in APRA-regulated environments - vendor assessments, SLA compliance, operational resilience, incident management
- Writing and reviewing Statements of Work - scoping what's in, what's out, and keeping delivery aligned to contract
- Engaging credibly at all levels – DevOps, product teams, engineering, steering committees, etc. – while representing your vendor's interests
- Knowing when to push, when to escalate, and when to just get on with it
What's in it for you? - Up to $170k base + super with some potential flex, plus profit share that typically adds around a month's salary
- Predominantly remote – Melbourne, Sydney, or Canberra - with meaningful customer face time monthly
- A central, senior role across a client list that genuinely includes some of the most recognisable names in Australia
- The chance to work on real identity and digital trust problems for organisations where getting it wrong actually matters
- Sharp, experienced colleagues who know this domain inside out and will back you as you find your feet
Brass tacks This specifically calls for someone from the product vendor side: someone who's lived the reality of deploying complex technology into demanding enterprise customers and come out the other side with relationships intact. Identity expertise isn't a prerequisite; there's a deep breadth of sharp consultants around you for that. What can't be taught is the EQ, social skills, the commercial instinct, and the quiet confidence to represent a vendor well when the pressure is on.
