Most security roles want you to find vulnerabilities. This one wants you to think like the attacker who chained them together.
We're looking for a Red Teamer, or an offensive security professional with the mindset and foundations to develop into one.
About the Company A highly technical Australian team doing adversarial work with enterprise clients globally. Varied engagements, genuine training and support for growth into advanced red teaming, and competitive compensation. They value how you think, not just what you've done.
About You You're an analytical problem-solver with a natural curiosity for how systems really break. You think in attack paths, chain weaknesses together, and ask "what would an attacker actually do next?" New technologies don't intimidate you - they motivate you.
The signals they care about are offensive thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving ability. In practice, this shows up as solid networking and OS fundamentals, scripting capability, and - most importantly - the ability to reason in attack chains, not isolated findings.
You don't need prior red team experience. You do need to demonstrate that you think the way red teamers think.
If your experience has been limited to a single domain or delivery pattern, this probably isn't the right fit. The right candidate reasons beyond their primary specialty, adapts to unfamiliar systems, and approaches problems from an end-to-end attacker perspective.
Key Responsibilities - Lead or contribute to red team engagements, simulating sophisticated adversaries targeting people, processes, and technology.
- Think beyond single vulnerabilities and assess how weaknesses combine into full attack chains.
- Build tooling and automate workflows to improve the efficiency and depth of offensive engagements.
- Collaborate with clients on remediation strategies, clearly explaining risk from an attacker's point of view.
Experience Needed: - An offensive security background - red teaming, penetration testing, or attacker simulation
- Solid networking and operating system fundamentals
- Scripting or automation capability
- Attack path thinking: asking "what would an attacker do next?" rather than "what did the scanner find?"
- Clear communication skills to articulate complex attack scenarios to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Titles and certifications matter less here, it matters how you think
and how you approach problems.
Why Join? - Career growth - mindset, curiosity, and problem-solving are prioritised over rigid career paths; this is a genuine opportunity to shape your progression into advanced red teaming
- Varied, meaningful work - a wide range of clients and environments, no repetitive cookie-cutter testing
- Elite team - a highly technical, collaborative group that values learning, research, and shared expertise
- Flexibility and benefits - hybrid working (2 days WFH), monthly meal allowances, and quarterly team activities
- Above-market compensation - permanent role with competitive packages, bonuses, and strong employee benefits
