So what's the role?
This is a ServiceNow SME position sitting inside a well-established Information Security team at a regulated organisation.
They're part-way through a Strategic Information Security Program and they need someone to own the ServiceNow piece of that puzzle.
This isn't a helpdesk admin role. Think automation, security integrations, and driving maturity across the platform. You'll be working alongside security engineers and stakeholders to configure and develop ServiceNow in a way that actually moves the needle on their InfoSec program.
The tech stack you'll be working across includes Axonius, M365, Splunk, Qualys and Crowdstrike. The modules in play span Integration Hub, ITSM, ITOM/CMDB and Integrated Risk Management. If you've done SOC or SIEM-adjacent work in ServiceNow, that's a strong signal you'll hit the ground running here.
Stakeholder communication matters in this role! The hiring manager values clear, plain-English comms just as much as the technical chops. If you can design a complex integration AND explain it to a non-technical exec without losing either of them, you're in good shape.
What you'll need - Proven hands-on ServiceNow experience (design, development, and configuration) not just admin)
- Delivered in, or adjacent to, a cyber security environment
- Solid understanding of enterprise environments (cloud, hybrid, the works)
- SOC/SIEM integration experience is highly regarded
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with security tooling (Axonius, Splunk, Qualys, Crowdstrike, M365)
- Strong communicator (technically sharp AND business-friendly)
- Tertiary qualification in IT or Information Security
- AU Citizen or PR only
Bonus points for ServiceNow certifications, CPS 234 familiarity, or experience in regulated industries like health or financial services.
