Our client is a global leader in advanced engineering and technology solutions, delivering complex Defence capability across science, security and sustainability. They're seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a major Defence program in Adelaide, supporting a high frequency sensing / mission systems capability.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting development and review of systems engineering artefacts and technical documentation
- Reviewing contract deliverables describing systems engineering activities
- Managing actions arising from mandated system reviews, design reviews, V&V and acceptance events
- Contributing technical assessments against performance requirements and the functional baseline
- Providing systems engineering input into architecture and design reviews
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical outcomes
- Participating in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
What you'll need: - Bachelor of Engineering (or a qualification recognised under the Washington Accord)
- Eligibility to access ITAR-controlled information
- NV1 security clearance, or ability to obtain one
- 5-10+ years' experience in a systems engineering role supporting major capital acquisition
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, multi-national team
Desirable: - Familiarity with JORN or OTHR capability
- Exposure to Defence engineering frameworks and standards
This is a genuine Defence systems engineering role, ideal for someone with hands-on experience across the SE lifecycle on major capability programs, not a general IT or software systems engineer background.
Hybrid role, Adelaide based. $170k package inc. super. NV1.
