Setting the Scene
Our client is a leading enterprise organisation undertaking major cyber security transformation initiatives across identity, access, secure connectivity and broader technology environments. As part of ongoing cyber programs, they are seeking a Technical Cyber Business Analyst to work across complex initiatives including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Identity & Access Management (IAM), IT/OT segmentation and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
The Role
This role will suit a Business Analyst with strong technical and cyber security exposure who can confidently engage with technical stakeholders and challenge requirements and proposed approaches where appropriate. You'll apply structured business analysis methodologies across the full project lifecycle, from current-state assessment and requirements gathering through to solution design, testing, implementation and transition into BAU. The role provides an opportunity to work across large-scale cyber transformation programs while partnering with senior technical and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful security outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) analysis across complex cyber and technology environments
- Facilitate workshops with Cyber, Operations, Infrastructure, Architecture and business stakeholders
- Gather, analyse and document business, functional and technical requirements
- Translate security, technical and regulatory requirements into clear and structured solution specifications
- Work closely with Architecture teams, providing challenge and ensuring proposed solutions align with business and security requirements
- Support the development of business cases, options analysis and recommendations
- Support vendor evaluation, proof-of-concept activities and solution assessments
- Analyse end-to-end processes to identify operational, technological and delivery risks
- Identify gaps, dependencies, constraints and opportunities for improvement across cyber programs
- Support solution testing, UAT and implementation readiness activities
- Assist with transition of new capabilities and processes into BAU operations
- Develop and maintain clear requirements, process maps, business rules and technical documentation
- Manage stakeholder communication and maintain alignment across distributed project and delivery teams
- Work across multiple project streams and manage competing priorities within a complex enterprise environment
What you'll bring - Strong experience working as a Business Analyst within cyber security, technology or complex infrastructure environments
- Experience across one or more of the following:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
- IT/OT segmentation
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, including requirements gathering, process mapping and current/future-state analysis
- Ability to engage confidently with technical teams and understand complex technology environments
- Familiarity with technology and security architecture, with the confidence to question, challenge and provide constructive input into architectural decisions
- Experience translating technical, security and regulatory requirements into clear business and solution requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working across complex enterprise or transformation programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, dependencies and competing priorities
